10 new instructional films available on Medicines for Children

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Medicines for Children has worked with nurses from the children’s charity WellChild and Edge Hill University to produce 10 new instructional films to help parents/carers with giving medicines to their children.

The 10 films cover a variety of common ways to give different types of medicines, as listed below:

How to give eye drops
How to apply eye ointment
How to give ear drops
How to apply creams and ointments
How to give a tablet or capsule
How to give a part dose of a tablet or capsule
How to give liquid medicine from a bottle with a bung
How to give liquid medicine from a bottle without a bung
How to give medicines through a nasogastric tube (NG tube)
How to give medicines through a gastrostomy tube
