Medicines management app: terms and conditions
This page sets out the terms and conditions for our Medicines for Children medicines management app - a mobile application provided by the RCPCH, WellChild and the NPPG.

Medicines for Children is a collaboration between the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the national children’s charity WellChild and the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacy Group.

By downloading, installing, or using the Medicines for Children medicines management app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.
By using the medicines management mobile app, you agree to accept the Terms and understand that no legal relationship is created between you and Medicines for Children and/or any or all of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, WellChild and/or the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacy Group.
- Use of the App
1.1 The app is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. By using the app, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
1.2 The app allows you to store and manage the personal medicines information of a child or young person in your care, including but not limited to, prescriptions, dosages, and medical history (“Personal Information”).
- User Responsibilities
2.1 You are responsible for ensuring that the Personal Information you provide is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
2.2 You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the app:
- In any way that breaches any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- To transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material.
- To impersonate any person or entity or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Privacy and Data Protection
3.1 Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your Personal Information. By using the app, you consent to our collection and use of your Personal Information as described in the Privacy Policy.
3.2 We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage.
- Intellectual Property
4.1 The app and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, and audio) are owned by the RCPCH, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
4.2 You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our app, except as follows:
- Your computer or mobile device may temporarily store copies.
5. Liability
5.1 These Terms are subject to change at any time and may be amended, supplemented or modified from time to time by Medicines for Children. Any such changes will be posted online and you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by and accepted these Terms by using the app. Please check these Terms on a regular basis to make sure you are aware of any changes made by Medicines for Children.
5.2 Every attempt is made to ensure that the medicines management app functions properly. However, Medicines for Children provides the app on an “as is, as available” basis without any guarantees or liability of any kind.
5.3 In no circumstances shall Medicines for Children and/or any or all of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, WellChild and/or the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacy Group be liable for any direct or indirect losses or damages arising out of or in any way connected to medicinesforchildren.org.uk including without limitation in relation to the app.
5.4 Medicines for Children and/or any or all of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, WellChild and/or the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group does not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, or that the app will be free of bugs and viruses.
