Storing medicines in hot weather

July 22, 2013

Across much of the UK, the sun is shining and the temperatures are high. It is important to keep your all of your family’s medicines in a cool place, so they are not damaged.

You can store medicines in a cupboard, keeping them away from heat and direct sunlight.

Some medicines need to be kept in a fridge. Read the label or speak with a doctor or pharmacist to check whether your child’s medicines need to or can be stored in the fridge.

Always keep medicines in their packaging. Make sure that children cannot see or reach them.
