We have been busy reviewing some of our early leaflets to ensure that they are up-to-date. In the last few months the Medicines for Children team and many health care professionals across the UK have helped review over 20 Medicines for Children leaflets, including:

  • Ampicillin for infection
  • Aspirin for prevention of blood clots
  • Botulinum toxin for muscle spasm
  • Captopril for heart failure
  • Cetirizine hydrochloride for hay fever
  • Clarithromycin for bacterial infections
  • Codeine phosphate for pain
  • Desmopressin for bedwetting
  • Dexamethasone for croup
  • Glycerin suppositories for constipation
  • Lactulose for constipation
  • Levamisole for nephrotic syndrome
  • Methotrexate for skin conditions
  • Midazolam for stopping seizures
  • Morphine for pain
  • Oseltamivir for influenza (flu)
  • Paraldehyde (rectal) for seizures
  • Pizotifen for migraine headaches
  • Ranitidine for acid reflux
  • Senna for constipation
  • Tacrolimus for prevention of transplant rejection
